Meet Dr. Courtney Acton

Dr. Acton grew up in a family that benefited from chiropractic care. Her own experience with receiving this care started when she was just 5 days old. This personal experience, along with seeing how chiropractic care improved the quality of life for her family and friends, led her to proclaim at a very early age that she wanted to be a doctor.

With that goal firmly in mind, and with the loving support of her family, she pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from Michigan State University.  Upon graduation, she moved to Chicago to participate in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at National University of Health Sciences (NUHS), graduating in 2013.  Her well-rounded education allows her to treat patients of any age in any stage of their life.  Her mission is to provide the highest quality of natural healthcare for the whole family.  She has completed extensive training in the latest chiropractic techniques and has the honor of speaking at national seminars on chiropractic techniques and patient service.

Dr. Acton is married to her high school sweetheart, Gavin, and they have two amazing daughters.  It is a great honor to serve our community, and we know our dreams would never be possible without our patients. We appreciate your referrals and are truly grateful to care for you and your loved ones!

Meet Brooklyn

Welcome, I'm Brooklyn, Dr. Acton's Chiropractic Assistant! I was born and raised in a small town in southwest Michigan and loved spending my summers on Lake Michigan. Now I live in Northwest Grand Rapids with my husband, Zach, and our two fur babies, Ryla and Alba. You can find me in the summertime tending to my garden, golfing and sometimes fishing. In the wintertime we love to go snowboarding and take mini vacations to Boyne Mountain, Oregon and Charlevoix.

After high school, I received my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Cardiac Rehab. I loved learning about the human body and how all the systems affected one another, but especially getting to be involved in the patient's healing process. Being able to see a patient heal from start to finish is truly amazing and now I get to see that at Acton Family Chiropractic. Growing up with some chiropractic care in my life, I only thought it was for back pain. Boy, was I wrong! Chiropractic care can enhance your life in so many ways, not only joint pain, but mood, digestion and normal function of all your systems. I will be the first one to greet you at the door and help answer any questions!
